My thoughts about the first Deadpool
1. Plot & Story
- Originality: The movie was well thought out. Not many movies have such many quotes from other shows and movies. Script was amazing.
- Structure: Hops to the past were especially good. In the start when they first started a little in the future and then showed the past was creative and enjoyable.
- Consistency: I couldn't find any plot holes. Everything made sense to me. The small things were all explained.
2. Character Development
- Protagonist: Deadpool's build up was awesome. Liked the character a lot.
- Motivations: Most characters motivations were extremely clear but Angels wasn't as widely as the others.
- Supporting Characters: I liked the X-men who were seen in it. Brought some color into the story.
3. Acting & Performances
- Casting: Ryan Reynolds was made to be Deadpool. It's like the character is based off of him. I haven't read the comics but from what I saw the other actors did an amazing job in their roles.
- Depth: Deadpool's past was sad and made me have an emotional bond with him. Same as most side characters who were on the good side.
- Chemistry: The actors made it seem like the scenes were happening in real life. Chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Borena Baccarin was exquisite.
- Naturalness: To my earlier point I feel like Ryan Reynolds just spoke what was on his mind. Like he was living a normal life and just going with the flow.
Overall: The movie was good. I laughed a lot. I've seen it multiple times and it never gets boring. Every time I find even more easter eggs than before and it makes the story feel as surprising as it was the first time I watched it. As a director Tim Miller made an excellent job. I wouldn't change anything in the story. The music, the plot, the characters, the start, the middle, the ending, it was all just so well thought out.
Once I become an actress I hope to be as good as most actors/actresses in Deadpool 1. They brought out the life of what never happened. Made it seem like I was a fly in the ceiling. Fourth wall breaks felt like the story was told to me. I liked it a lot.
Comedies aren't my favorite genre so the things I disliked were mostly just my own fault. Don't get me wrong though! I love comedies. And deadpool.
My rating(out of five): ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Please note: I'm not a professional. These are my opinions. I'm just a huge movie freak who enjoys writing.
